Jason Parker Duo begins a residency at Mona’s Bistro & Lounge

I’m happy to report that after Ty Bailie and I played our first gig at Mona’s Bistro & Lounge, management has asked us to be one of their regularly featured acts! Jason and many of Seattle’s finest piano players will hold court the 3rd Thursday of every month, beginning on July 19th. Appropriately enough, it’ll be Ty joining me once again. Mona’s is a groovy little bar at 65th & Latona with great food and drinks, a warm atmosphere, and the true feel of a neighborhood bar. Come join us for a night of Jazz Standards the 3rd Thursday of every month.

Our new CD is here!!

J&J Music and Broken Time Records are proud to announce the release of the Jason Parker Quartet’s debut CD, “The Jason Parker Quartet.” The album features four of Jason’s original compositions, one arrangement of a traditional Jewish prayer, one original by Josh Rawlings and two not-so-standards from the books of Miles Davis (by way of Chet Baker) and Blue Mitchell.

I was fortunate to have one of Seattle’s hottest young rhythm sections backing me up on the recording and subsequent gigs. My new band consists of Josh Rawlings on piano, Evan Flory-Barnes on bass and D’Vonne Lewis on drums. These cats brought my songs to life, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share the stage and the bandstand with them.

You can order your very own copy of the new CD or a digital download of the music from Broken Time Records.
